Mainly used in the preparation of lithium salts and lithium-based grease, electrolyte for alkaline batteries, lithium bromide chiller absorbent, etc.

First aid measures

1. Skin contact: Remove contaminated clothing immediately and rinse with plenty of running water for at least 15 minutes or neutralize with boric acid solution. Seek medical attention.
2.EYE CONTACT: Immediately lift eyelids and flush thoroughly with plenty of running water or saline for at least 15 minutes. Seek medical attention.
3.INHALATION: Remove from the scene quickly to fresh air. Keep airway open. If breathing is difficult, administer oxygen. If breathing stops, give immediate artificial respiration. Seek medical attention.
4.Ingestion: Rinse mouth with water and give milk or egg white. Seek medical attention.

Emergency response to spills

1.Isolate the contaminated area of the spill and restrict access. Advise emergency response personnel to wear dust masks and anticorrosive and anti-toxic clothing. Do not come into direct contact with the spill.

2.Small spill: sweep up carefully and transfer to a safe place.

3.Large spill: collect and recycle or transport to waste disposal site for disposal.

Storage method

Store in dry and clean storage areas. Keep away from fire and heat sources. Protect from direct sunlight. Pack tightly. Store separately from oxidising agents, acids, carbon dioxide and edible chemicals and do not mix. Storage areas should be provided with suitable materials to contain spills.
