Main application

Application 1:Monoisocyanate is an important intermediate in organic synthesis, which can be made into a series of carbamate insecticides, fungicides, and herbicides, and is also used to improve the water resistance of plastics, fabrics, and leather.

Application 2: Isocyanates with two or more functional groups can be used to synthesize a series of polyurethane foam plastics, rubber, elastic fibers, coatings, adhesives, synthetic leather, artificial wood, etc. with excellent performance.

Application 3:Used in home appliances, automobiles, construction, footwear, furniture, adhesives and other industries

At present, the most widely used and the largest output are: Toluene Diisocyanate (TDI for short); Methylenediphenyl Diisocyanate (MDI for short).

Preparation method

In industry, isocyanate is mainly produced by primary amine phosgene method, and its reaction is as follows: diisocyanate can be prepared by diamine phosgene method: With the progress of science and technology and the deepening of synthesis theory, the process of isocyanate synthesis of nitro compounds directly with carbon monoxide at high temperature and high pressure is becoming more and more mature.

Because the isocyanate structure contains unsaturated bonds, it has high activity and is easy to react with some organic or inorganic substances with active groups to generate polyurethane elastomers.
