Phenolic resin, originally colourless or yellow-brown transparent material, marketed often with colouring agents and red, yellow, black, green, brown, blue and other colours, in the form of particles or powder. Resistant to weak acid and alkali, decomposition occurs when strong acid, corrosion occurs when strong alkali. Insoluble in water, soluble in acetone, alcohol and other organic solvents. It is obtained by polycondensation of phenolic aldehyde or its derivatives.

Main applications

Application 1: Mainly used for the manufacture of water-resistant plywood, fiberboard, laminate, clothing board, furniture, etc., can also be used for glass fiber laminate, foam and other porous materials bonding and casting sand mold bonding; 

Application 2: Used as a viscosifying resin of chloroprene adhesive, vulcanizing agent of butyl rubber; used for making telecommunication, instrument and traffic electrical insulation structural parts with high dielectric property; 

Application 3:Used for manufacturing bottle caps and buttons, insulating structural parts of daily low-voltage electrical appliances, insulating structural parts and instrument shells of low-voltage electrical appliances, low-voltage electrical appliances used in hot and humid areas, etc.; 

Application 4: With outstanding water resistance, stability and self-lubrication, used for self-lubricating bearings, Chemicalbook gas meter components, water pump shell impeller molding products; used in coating industry, wood bonding, casting industry, printing industry and paint, ink and other industries; 

Application 5: Mainly used in the production of metal inserts, electrical insulation performance requirements of high electromechanical, instrumentation, telecommunications industry, Application 6: At room temperature, using p-toluene sulfonic acid as curing agent can be self-hardening, using urotropine as curing agent, can also be made of hot core box resin; used for manufacturing heat resistant, high strength mechanical transmission parts, electrical structure parts, etc.; 

Application 7: Used for making hydraulic pump bearings; used as phenolic plastic raw materials, adhesive, anticorrosive coating, etc.;

Storage and transport conditions

Store in a cool, ventilated warehouse. The storage temperature should not exceed 37°C. Keep away from fire and heat sources. Keep containers sealed. Store separately from oxidisers and do not mix them. Equip with the appropriate type and quantity of fire-fighting equipment.
